I have been working in the childcare sector since 1998 gaining my qualifications along the way. Health and social care, NNEB, HND ECE, Montessori teaching 3-6 years, BA hons ECCE. FA responder, LINC HACCP and many Continuous professional learning

Children inspire me and never stop amazing me as every child is unique having their own talents and interests. I like to work with children for many other reasons, To see them hit milestones, children taking an interest in a particular topic, watching that child expand in knowledge and understanding of that topic is the most amazing thing anyone could witness. I feel it is up to us as practioneers to give children the tools they need to expand their development.

I am the deputy manager & childcare assistant at Kiddlywinks Childcare. I have been working here for the last 4 years. I graduated college in 2008 with a BTEC National Diploma in Early Years. I worked as a special needs assistant in Derry for just under 10 years before moving to Donegal and gaining employment in Kiddlywinks. I love coming to work everyday as every day is so different. Caring for children is a joy and they are learning and growing so much everyday & I feel grateful to be part of it. I love to support the children as best I can to promote their curiosity and intrigue in the world around them. Outside of work I have a very active lifestyle with my 8 year old son Matthew. I enjoy going for walks and open water swimming. We spend a lot of time on our very beautiful beaches.

I am the room leader in our butterflies room. I graduated from LYIT with a higher certificate in Early Childhood Health and Education. I have been working in childcare since 2019. I also studied Special Needs Assisting, and I now hold a level 6 in this field. I absolutely love working with children, their imagination & creativity amazes me. My job allows me to be creative, art was my favourite subject in school. Away from work I enjoy shopping, going on road trips & most importantly spending time with my family.

I have been working in Kiddlywinks for over 3 years. My role here is class assistant. I obtained my level 5 in Early Years in 2019. Before joining the team here I volunteered at a local primary school for 2 years working 2 days a week. I love coming to work and talking to the children. I love how unique each child is and how different there imaginations are. Outside of work i enjoy babysitting my cousin at home where we play football, have movie nights and go on walks.
